At home today with this sick little guy. He's clung to my hip, and that's ok. We hate you, strep and ear infection!
Have a great 3 day weekend!

Grateful
Today, I'm grateful for one last day to spend at home with my babes, before we head back to school tomorrow. We start our morning routines of waking up early, getting dressed for school, grabbing some breakfast and coffee on the way out, and then riding together for our 15 minute drive to school.
I love our morning rides each day.
They usually consist of me sipping on coffee, turning around and looking at my handsome son and pretty daughter, watching Tangled, and telling them just how much I love them, how I will pick them up right after school, and how I hope they have a great day.
My job allows me to have the same schedule as them, and I'm grateful for this profession. Teaching has its ups and down, but that's just like any job. I'm grateful for the following: to only have a 15 minute drive, to have found a nice school for my kids, to work at such a wonderful h.school, to work for the best administration, and simply to be a teacher. There is NO better profession. Thank you GOD for allowing me to continue teaching and spending time with my precious family. Happy 2012

Christmas 2011 & Resolutions
Hey there! We had a great Christmas spending Christmas Eve in Highland Park, and Christmas Day at parent's new home. We ate, open gifts, and let the kids play, play, and play.
For New Years, we stayed around the house, got a bit fancy, went and ate Sushi, and Hibachi, and ended the year watching "The Help."
Looking back on 2011:
*I started my own side photography business
*I struggled with being let go from my previous high school, due to budget cuts
*Searched and searched for a teaching position, and a week before school started, my new "teaching home" called :)
*Enrolled Macey and Tanner in a new school
*Tanner began walking at 14 months!
For the upcoming year, I hope to pursue the following goals:
*Take more pictures with my kids
*Read more to Macey and Tanner
*Be a spiritual leader in all aspects of my life
*Lose 10-15 lbs
*Pass the EC-6th grade generalist test
*Expand my knowledge and photography business
*Increase our savings account so we can be debt free :)
*Complete our house plans, sale our house, build a new home
*Teach elementary aged kids
*Enjoy the last year with Macey before she attends Kindergarten!
*Enjoy every moment on this earth with my family, and become a better witness to others

OMG. I'm SO bad. Such a bad blogger. I should be kicked off the site! :)
I'm just now realizing how to send pics from my phone to blogger, so this will be so much easier (I think.) I love being able to look back at my book of when I blogged about Macey, and poor Tanner, he has ZILTCH memories stored away.
I'm a little worried though... Every time I send a pic, will it then become a new posting?! I gots-ta figure this out.

Where have I been?
Where have I been, you might be asking! Let me recap what's been going on over here! First off, I have taken some pics, but they're on my phone and I don't feel like sending them to my computer, blah, blah, blah.
SO, we are getting over sickness' in this household. I had strep (AGAIN), and Tanner & Macey have been on breathing treatments and Macey finished a round of Amoxicilin for a red ear...... So $140.00 later, things are starting to look up (I hate to even type that. I'm afraid of jinxing myself.)
Taren, Camdyn, Macey, & myself went and saw Elmo last weekend! The girls had so much fun, and Macey talked and talked about it all week long! She says she wants to go see Dora next!
I thought I'd never say this, but Education is a scary place right now. I never thought I'd be worried about job security, but that's the case in Texas. Building on our land is at a stand still until we find out how next year will look.
Lastly, I've really been working on expanding Emby. I feel like I have a certain look that I want, and I love being able to create it. Some have asked, and EMBY stands for (M.B.) My initials, or Macey's initials. We are both MCB's :)
That's about it! I've missed blogging, but been a little lazy with not wanting to add pics to the blog. I will leave you with this.
I found a new blog that I adore and she made this wreath! I love it's simplicity and it screams, "SPRING!" Check out, A Pretty Life in the Suburbs on my side bar.
I spotted these mushrooms at PIER ONE and I so wanted to get them for some Easter pics. They also had some great moss covered rabbits. I'm in love :)
