SNOW!

Snow in TEXAS!!!! We've had a great day playing in the snow! We made a snow man this morning, and then went to McDonald's for a little play time while we ate, and they played. They ate, they played. With this pregnancy, I'm hungry quite often, but kind of picky. Some things sound really good, and some things don't. Chicken Nuggets were really good at lunch :) After that, we rode around, looking at all the snow and snowmen, and then headed home to rest. Derrick made us Snow Icecream! It was so delicious and tasted just like homemade icecream! For Dinner, I had planned on making Shrimp Pasta, but it didn't sound soo yummy, so we ate SUSHI. Eating out two times in one day is not good, but this baby has a full belly.

On another note, Derrick and I are having to change our goals since the possibility of another little being is about to make our family of 5 become a family of 6. He's been shopping around for some deals for a bigger, used, SUV. So, the farm will have to wait. This SUV pictured is my "dream" car, but I will get what I get, and I won't throw a fit! :)

Here are some pics from Macey and Cam coloring one weekend. They are sweet together, and I love to see how they interact together! I didn't take many pics, but here's a picture from our V-day party at our house, and the great snow that covered Rockwall! Also, a neighbor sculpted a Snow Angel. Isn't she beautiful!

Enjoy!

Weekend

We had SUCH a fun weekend! Friday, we went to Chuck-E-Cheese. Macey enjoyed climbing, and sliding, climbing, and sliding, over and over! BUT, once the "mouse" came out, poor thing was scared to death. She had a blast though!

Saturday, Derrick and I had a fabulous date night. We went and ate sushi: (ginger salad, miso soup, california roll, and tuna roll.) After that, we then saw Avatar; it was a great night for the two of us! We shared a pibb and popcorn of course. So much fun.

Random Pics: Macey on our new trampoline! Macey obsessed with brushing her teeth, and lastly, a picture of her before taking a nap with the "crew." Baby, Blankie, and Elmo. They are ALWAYS close by :)

Have a great week!

2010......

CHEESE!

For 2010, I have made it my mission to post more often, lose some weight, and save some money!
I also need to upload my posts into a book, and print off pictures (1 1/2) years worth. I'm a bit chatty today, so bear with me :)

As we started the new year off, Macey was very sick. It was scary to find my daughter with a 103 temp. 3 nights in a row. Needless to say, after a 9-11 call and many doctor visits, we finally found out she had RSV and Pneumonia. After weeks of breathing treatments, and antibiotics, I think we are better! YAY! During Christmas, I did a make-over on Macey's room. Since we took her bumpers out, her bed has been bare, and I've been in love with the Pottery Barn "Brooke" bedding, and when Target introduced their toddler owl bedding for 29.99, I couldn't resist. This will be her bedding for awhile! We just need to convert her crib to a toddler bed now! Waiting a bit to do this though! :) See pics below.

2010 brings many praises, hopes and goals for this year. I've been following Kelly's Korner and I've been excited to celebrate Harper's b-day this year (since I've been keeping up with them since Harper's birth.) Also, I'm already beginning to think about Macey's b-day. I'm SOOO blessed to be planning her 2nd birthday. God is great! Taren and I are taking the girls to see Elmo and Sesame Street Live in Feb. I can't wait! Cam and Mace ADORE Elmo!!! This will be such a special memory with them.

Regarding family objectives, Derrick and I have so many goals for ourselves and our family, which may take many years to accomplish : 1 Save enough money for 20-40 acres with approx. 10-20 cows and a pond 2. Build a barn w/ living quarters 3. Buy an older model truck that is capable of hauling these animals :) 4. 4 wheelers for our kids. 5. Create a family farm for us and our family to enjoy for many years to come.

On another note, I've also had some struggles lately. With the goals we have set for our family recently, much sacrifice is needed with the help of God and with the Haiti devastation, I'm forced to re-evaluate my own life. I've come to realize that I can get caught up spending money on unnecessary things. If you're my friend, remind me of this :) Macey doesn't always need a new outfit for every occassion, etc. I pray that I become more of a godly follower, mother, wife, teacher, and role model in 2010. Less is more~

Thank you friends for listening. It feels good to talk :)

Christmas 2009

We had such a blessed and enjoyable Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve, our plans to go to my aunt's changed due to the weather. So, we went to my mom's instead and threw some chicken alfredo together and had the girls dress up in their Christmas Eve outfits for pictures and presents!

On Christmas Day, we went to my mom's house again for family and relaxation. God has blessed us with health and love this year. I look forward to 2010!
