Happy Birthday CAMDYN!!
I can NOT believe my sweet, precious niece, and Macey's cousin/bff is turning 1! Last year seems like it was yesterday.
Recap: April 23rd, Taren and Dustin went in to the hospital to get induced at 12:00 a.m.
I got to the hospital around 6:30 a.m. (with a HUGE belly) and met up with mom and dad. Mom told me that Taren was having a pretty tough time with pain and got her epidural at 6:00 a.m. The three of us then went to the local cafeteria at Presby and had breakfast. After that, we were able to go in to the room where Taren & Dustin were. Taren was in great spirits, but I was very taken back by the entire hospital setting. Poor thing was hooked up to an i.v., monitors, and a cath. We just hung out in the cold room. I got up to use the bathroom in the room and when I opened the door to leave, nurses were running in. Apparently, I had pulled a handle that signaled them, EMERGENCY! Ha!
Dustin's family made it in and we basically hung out for the morning. Taren began to feel some pain again and we were concerned as to why her epidural was wearing off. Around 12:00, Dr. Bertrand broke her water and it was a roller coaster ride and we finally left the room around 3:00 p.m. to let her and Dustin get some rest. Around 6:30, she was nearly dialated to a ten when we found out that infection was setting in. At this point, we were all worried and scared to death. She did not want a cesecarian and we all cried when we had to stand back and watch her sleeping body wheel by us on the hospital bed. We then finally went back to the waiting room, wanting it to hurry and be over, when Dustin peered around the corner, "Do you want to see Camdyn?!!!!!" It was the best moment! We saw her big, beautiful body, and we even got to ride in the elevator with her!! I remember looking through the window of the nursery and taking pics of her and everyone crying. We finally got to see this precious baby girl, who we had waited on for so long to see!
I love you Cam.

I read this last night and it brought tears to my eyes! I will never forget all of you crying in the elevator when you got to ride with Camdyn in there right after her being delivered. She is so lucky to have you as her aunt.
