2010......
CHEESE!
For 2010, I have made it my mission to post more often, lose some weight, and save some money!
I also need to upload my posts into a book, and print off pictures (1 1/2) years worth. I'm a bit chatty today, so bear with me :)
As we started the new year off, Macey was very sick. It was scary to find my daughter with a 103 temp. 3 nights in a row. Needless to say, after a 9-11 call and many doctor visits, we finally found out she had RSV and Pneumonia. After weeks of breathing treatments, and antibiotics, I think we are better! YAY! During Christmas, I did a make-over on Macey's room. Since we took her bumpers out, her bed has been bare, and I've been in love with the Pottery Barn "Brooke" bedding, and when Target introduced their toddler owl bedding for 29.99, I couldn't resist. This will be her bedding for awhile! We just need to convert her crib to a toddler bed now! Waiting a bit to do this though! :) See pics below.
2010 brings many praises, hopes and goals for this year. I've been following Kelly's Korner and I've been excited to celebrate Harper's b-day this year (since I've been keeping up with them since Harper's birth.) Also, I'm already beginning to think about Macey's b-day. I'm SOOO blessed to be planning her 2nd birthday. God is great! Taren and I are taking the girls to see Elmo and Sesame Street Live in Feb. I can't wait! Cam and Mace ADORE Elmo!!! This will be such a special memory with them.
Regarding family objectives, Derrick and I have so many goals for ourselves and our family, which may take many years to accomplish : 1 Save enough money for 20-40 acres with approx. 10-20 cows and a pond 2. Build a barn w/ living quarters 3. Buy an older model truck that is capable of hauling these animals :) 4. 4 wheelers for our kids. 5. Create a family farm for us and our family to enjoy for many years to come.
On another note, I've also had some struggles lately. With the goals we have set for our family recently, much sacrifice is needed with the help of God and with the Haiti devastation, I'm forced to re-evaluate my own life. I've come to realize that I can get caught up spending money on unnecessary things. If you're my friend, remind me of this :) Macey doesn't always need a new outfit for every occassion, etc. I pray that I become more of a godly follower, mother, wife, teacher, and role model in 2010. Less is more~
Thank you friends for listening. It feels good to talk :)

I LOVE this post!!! Everything about it. So fun to see an update of Macey and her sweet room. Can't wait to see more posts soon!!! :)
No! Don't show me a picture of her with that thing over her face...makes me sad :( Seriously...sad. Ugh never knew anything about a farm and animals! PLEASE get a little pony and maybe a little piggy so Camdyn can come play! Yes, I just had a discussion with Dustin aobut Haiti and why they make movies that cost 500 million dollars for entertainment while there are people homeless and struggling to survive...breaks my heart.
LOVE this post!
Less is more is my new motto too. We can be thrifty together!!! :) :)
And yay for saving for a farm! Sounds dreamy!!!
