First off, can a high school teacher qualify for a Teacher Linky Party?! :) Elementary teachers are usually always the ones with the cutesy, "elementary" blogs & stuff, but I think high school should be no different! Give a student a sticker on their paper and see what result you get! You can literally hear others, "I didn't get a sticker; I want a sticker"..... Take a class picture of them, post it outside in the hall, and watch them all stand outside your door in the mornings, trying to find their face, and their friends!
About me~ I'm Melissa! I have taught English & Communication Applications, and sponsored Fresh/JV/& Varsity Cheerleading. I'm currently in my 6th year, and teaching part-time at the h.s., educating 9-12 grade students about Comm. App OR Speech. To me, there is no better class. We have SO much fun, while learning how to communicate, argue, love, respect ourselves and others, etc. in a healthy/positive way. To see my class blog, click here!
Why part-time this year? I had this sweet little boy in Sept.
And got to stay home with this sweet little sissy too :)
Lastly, I'm a step mother to these two blondes as well.
My hubby and I have been married for nearly 4 years. He's a firefighter. There's lots of perks to being married to a firefighter :) He's a good cook, makes great fires on cold days, cleans well, quiet time every 3rd day, handy man, penny pincher, and money maker :)
