Happy Birthday Macey!

My sweet baby girl just turned 2 at the end of May! We had a blast planning, and creating a small little buffet of candy for the kids to take home. We had a doll house bounce house, along with a snow cone machine. We were joined by wonderful family and friends! Thank all of you who were able to come! I'm thinking from now on though, we need to have her b-days indoors or at a pool. It's too hot in Texas!!!

Big girl got her first Radio Flyer tricycle for her b-day! We chose a retro red/cream bike for her and Tanner to share. It has a guidance pole attached, since she's a bit little to steer and peddle at the same time.

After her b-day at our house, we had a little summer celebration at Nana's for Memorial Day and her b-day. She had a Dora cake, and her and Cam swam outside! They had a blast. Attached are pics of her cake, blowing out candles, etc.

The remainder of pictures are summer time photos at the pool. I hope to be there everyday :)

We just switched her bed too. I'm trying to get her used to sleeping in it before Tanner is in her crib. My little girl is growing up :(

I think that's it for now. We've had a traumatic episode with a "bun bun" aka "rabbit" around our neighborhood. He's usually out each night, and if he gets too close, sister screams, and shakes. I got a convo with her about him. That's soon to come!

Looking ahead at posts to come: decorating around the house, food, Tanner, and misc.

2nd b-day approaching!

It's been way too long since my last blog entry! We've been sick lately, but now things are looking up since school is almost over! :) I'm now 6 months pregnant and starting to feel little man kick quite a bit. Macey sometimes calls him "Bubby, baby, Tanner, or etc." When I ask who's in there, she'll say Baby, but usually gets his name wrong. She'll say Colty's last name :) No, Macey, Tanner! We found an armoire for his room, got him a couple of new outfits, and I ordered his bedding. NESTING! HELLO!

Tanner is due in September, so with prayer and many budget revisions, I've decided to work part-time next year. I will be able to spend most of my days with my children (plural!! crazy!)and make doctor's appointments, etc. in the afternoons and not get docked each time or feel guilty about leaving for my own children. I plan on taking 6 weeks off, instead of 8 for maternity leave. Next Fall brings many new and exciting changes.

Now, I'm busy getting Macey's party stuff in order before Saturday. Sweet girl says, "Birthday Party?" and I call out the roster of friends who were invited! I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun! We got a bounce house and snow cone machine (it's going to be in the 90's on Saturday!) We're having a "sweet shoppe" with some assortment of candies for the kids to take home. Pics coming soon :)

Here are some pics that we took awhile back for her invites.

Nesting

I'm in "nesting" mode BIG time. I just turned 20 weeks ( 5 months) and I got the itch to get Macey's playroom organized and furnished, and now my living room is clutter free! My thoughts are now set on finding her toddler bed, and Tanner's nursery.

For her play room, I had to get the following:
Rug
Melissa & Doug Easel (birthday gift)
Black Bulletin Board (need to paint "ocean blue.")
Table and chairs (I painted and sanded for a shabby chic look.)
*Waiting on my Dr. Seuss slogan for the wall!

Pictures:
Macey fell off our swing and scraped her face :(
Macey going to church!
Macey at Cam's birthday party! We had SOOO much fun!
Play room pictures
Tanner's room (yet to be designed :)

Allergic Reaction

For the second time, my baby has had a reaction to peanuts. The first time, I fed her a sandwich and she had a localized reaction around her mouth. We noticed a red rash, but nothing else serious.

Friday, we think she possibly touched a peanut butter sandwich and then rubbed her eyes. She looked like a completely different child :( Poor baby. Her eyes were so swollen and the right one was almost swollen shut. Is it possible that the allergic reaction can get worse as she gets older? If so, very scary.....
We now have epi pens in case this ever happens again.

Today, I took pics of her for her birthday invites. Here's a sneak peek below of one of her outfits she wore :)

It's a......

BOY!

Dear Tanner Chase,

Because I wrote your name down, Daddy has to stick to it :)
During your ultrasound, you were soooo rowdy. The technician asked you to be still, so she could get a good look at you! Your little brain, heart, tummy, spine, etc. looks great and we saw all 10 fingers. You were laying on your back, then you switched and faced down for a bit. It even looked as if you stood up in my belly. You currently weigh 8 oz.!

PLEASE stay healthy, and strong. I will feed you well, talk to you often, and love you unconditionally every single day until we meet in Sept. I love you so very much and I pray that God watches over you, your sissy, and us. I can't wait to hold you!
