I love you too!

I must say that I'm obsessed with my little girl. I want to eat her little legs, bite her toes, smell her stinky feet, and kiss all over her little cheeks. When I'm at work, all I think about is her. I often tell Derrick that she's the best thing I've ever done in my life!

With that said, I thank God for putting her in good hands while I'm away. I'm thankful to have found such a loving babysitter/sister/aunt to watch over my most prized possession.

To brighten my day, Ashley sent me these pics of my snaggle tooth baby girl. She now has 4 teeth coming in. I also attached a song by Darius Rucker. I originally heard it when he sang it on Thanksgiving Day, but Taren and I have heard it since and it's so sweet. Enjoy.

It Won't Be Like This For Long lyrics

He didn't have to wake up
He'd been up all night
Lying there in bed and listening
To his newborn baby cry
He makes a pot of coffee
He splashes water on his face
His wife gives him a kiss and says,
"It's gonna be okay"

"It won't be like this for long
One day we'll look back laughing
At the week we brought her home
This phase is gonna fly by
So baby, just hold on
It won't be like this for long"

Four years later, 'bout 4:30
She's crawling in their bed
And when he drops her off at pre-school
She's clinging to his leg
The teacher peels her off of him
He says, "What can I do?"
She says, "Now, don't you worry
This'll only last a week or two"

"It won't be like this for long
One day soon you'll drop her off
And she won't even know you're gone
This phase is gonna fly by
If you can just hold on
It won't be like this for long"

Someday soon she'll be a teenager
And at times, he'll think she hates him
And he'll walk her down the aisle
And raise her veil,
But right now she's up and cryin'
And the truth is that he don't mind
As he kisses her goodnight
And she says her prayers

He lays down there beside her
Till her eyes are finally closed
And just watching her it breaks his heart
'Cause he already knows

It won't be like this for long
One day soon that little girl is gonna be
All grown up and gone
And this phase is gonna fly by
So he's trying to hold on
It won't be like this for long
It won't be like this for long

Valentine's Day!

We had such a fun V-day! All the babies came over and we had our Valentine boxes where we exchanged Valentines and received some keep sake gifts. I purchased "Love fortune cookies" and the fortune inside said, "God's sweet angel."

For lunch, we enjoyed Chicken Salad on Crouissants, Pink Lemonade, Chips and hot sauce, Amanda's Spinach Dip in a bread bowl with wheat thins, Coconut Cup Cakes, and Taren's Chocolate Fondue with pretzel sticks! The kids played around and we got some pics of all of them together!

Last night, we went to two packed restaurants, so we then headed to El Chico. I think we waited 5 minutes! I wasn't wanting Mexican, but that was o.k.! I just got to sit next to my hubby and hold hands. That's all I wanted!

The last pics are Macey swinging at her Nana's and PeePaws. We're going to try and head out to the park this afternoon!

I'm now looking forward to the MAVS game on Saturday, my 30th b-day in March and SPRING BREAK!!!!!!

If you're off tomorrow, enjoy your day!
Have a great week!

Smilebox

I'm trying to play around with "Smilebox." Why there's a play button, I don't know. I'm in a "crafty" mood today, so I'm trying to design some Valentine Cards, etc. I have a window open in our computer room and it feels so great outside. It's just me and the baby today and I love our days of peace and quiet and a little bit of relaxation.

On another note, this week has been terrible! We got the "Howry" virus, and Macey vomitted 2 times on Tuesday and I soon got it, and now D has been battling it as well. I'm so glad to be feeling better again. Right now, I'm "lysol"ing EVERYTHING! Door knobs, cell phone, key board, refrigerator door, toys, toilets, etc. I am NOT having this again!

LYSOL is the name, KILLING GERMS is the game!
Pics coming soon.

8 months/Weekend.

Just a couple of days ago, we were iced in and school was cancelled. Today, it's 71 degrees outside!

We've had some much needed family time this weekend! On Friday, Macey turned 8 months! We also met up with Aunt Taren and Cam for a delicious thai meal! Derrick took the girls to see a movie, and we hung out with our best buddies! The girls did so well while Taren and I ordered:
California Roll
Ginger Salad
Panang Curry w/Chicken, Spinach, and Brocolli w/a side of steamed rice! YUM!!
We then walked over to Hobby Lobby and did some shopping. We ran into Nana and Peepaw and said hi! It was a good night!

Saturday, Macey and I met daddy D for a hamburger inside of Dickeys. Daddy had to mow a customer's yard, so me and Mace then headed home for a nap. For dinner, (I swear I'm half Asian,) we went to our favorite (again, a weekly thing :) Edohana for:
Miso Soup
Ginger Salad
California Roll (no cucumbers :)
D-Call Me Devil Roll- (california roll w/ Salmon & hot and spicy sauce drizzled over)
AND a side of hibachi noodles! YUM YUM YUM!

Today, me and baby girl are alone, so we're going over to Nana and PeePaws to hang out and watch the superbowl commercials!

Have a good week! Aunt Taren's b-day is this Saturday and Valentines is the next weekend!

God bless!
