OMG. I'm SO bad. Such a bad blogger. I should be kicked off the site! :)
I'm just now realizing how to send pics from my phone to blogger, so this will be so much easier (I think.) I love being able to look back at my book of when I blogged about Macey, and poor Tanner, he has ZILTCH memories stored away.

I'm a little worried though... Every time I send a pic, will it then become a new posting?! I gots-ta figure this out.

Where have I been?

Where have I been, you might be asking! Let me recap what's been going on over here! First off, I have taken some pics, but they're on my phone and I don't feel like sending them to my computer, blah, blah, blah.

SO, we are getting over sickness' in this household. I had strep (AGAIN), and Tanner & Macey have been on breathing treatments and Macey finished a round of Amoxicilin for a red ear...... So $140.00 later, things are starting to look up (I hate to even type that. I'm afraid of jinxing myself.)

Taren, Camdyn, Macey, & myself went and saw Elmo last weekend! The girls had so much fun, and Macey talked and talked about it all week long! She says she wants to go see Dora next!

I thought I'd never say this, but Education is a scary place right now. I never thought I'd be worried about job security, but that's the case in Texas. Building on our land is at a stand still until we find out how next year will look.

Lastly, I've really been working on expanding Emby. I feel like I have a certain look that I want, and I love being able to create it. Some have asked, and EMBY stands for (M.B.) My initials, or Macey's initials. We are both MCB's :)

That's about it! I've missed blogging, but been a little lazy with not wanting to add pics to the blog. I will leave you with this.
I found a new blog that I adore and she made this wreath! I love it's simplicity and it screams, "SPRING!" Check out, A Pretty Life in the Suburbs on my side bar.
I spotted these mushrooms at PIER ONE and I so wanted to get them for some Easter pics. They also had some great moss covered rabbits. I'm in love :)

Pray, video above....

I said it on fb, and I'll say it again..... I. have. Bieber. F.E.V.E.R.! I think he's a little doll, and when I saw him perform this, I thought it was outstanding. What a great meaning too.
Enjoy!

XLV

I think it's pretty spectacular the Super Bowl is being held about an hour from where I live! I want to stay away from the entire city of Dallas, Ft.Worth, and Arlington, but I still think it's neat!

A guy from my hometown is the 3rd string quarterback for Green Bay. He went to high school with my sisters, helped win a couple of state championships for us in football, and played at my youngest sister's college. His dad is a great guy too, and coached at my old high school. Pretty cool!

4th day

This is the 4th day school has been canceled. I'm not sad about this, but being inside for 4 days can take its toll! :) I did leave for an hour or two yesterday to get my hair done, but that's it. Poor daddy worked in this mess, and was basically up ALL night. Firetruck stuck on ice. NOT GOOD.

So, around here, we've had lots of fires, coffee, popcorn, Nate Berkus, The View, Nick Jr., and hot baths.
Little sweeties touching feet!

Lastly, have you noticed my blog? I've probably added 10 pictures to it! I love every one of them though. It may be a bit overwhelming, a tad too much, crazy cute, or not blog glam, but I like it. Can you tell I'm going stir crazy? :) I want to jump on this trampoline and scream like a wild woman!

Enjoy your day. I'm about to make a little picnik for Macey and I on the living room floor. ~

OMG. I just spelled PICNIK, like the website. Oops. Picnic.~

Meet the Teacher!

First off, can a high school teacher qualify for a Teacher Linky Party?! :) Elementary teachers are usually always the ones with the cutesy, "elementary" blogs & stuff, but I think high school should be no different! Give a student a sticker on their paper and see what result you get! You can literally hear others, "I didn't get a sticker; I want a sticker"..... Take a class picture of them, post it outside in the hall, and watch them all stand outside your door in the mornings, trying to find their face, and their friends!

About me~ I'm Melissa! I have taught English & Communication Applications, and sponsored Fresh/JV/& Varsity Cheerleading. I'm currently in my 6th year, and teaching part-time at the h.s., educating 9-12 grade students about Comm. App OR Speech. To me, there is no better class. We have SO much fun, while learning how to communicate, argue, love, respect ourselves and others, etc. in a healthy/positive way. To see my class blog, click here!

Why part-time this year? I had this sweet little boy in Sept.

And got to stay home with this sweet little sissy too :)

Lastly, I'm a step mother to these two blondes as well.

My hubby and I have been married for nearly 4 years. He's a firefighter. There's lots of perks to being married to a firefighter :) He's a good cook, makes great fires on cold days, cleans well, quiet time every 3rd day, handy man, penny pincher, and money maker :)

Things I love!

This is my new toy for my early B-day gift. It's great for me, and great for my 2 year old!
Some of my fav. apps are "Beat this Price," "GeoQpons," Redbox, Pandora, CameraBag, FamilyFeud, Camscan, WFAA, Groupon, Pocketlife, Flixster, and the following kids games. Art of Glow, Nick Jr.'s A-Z, Talking Tom, Cupcake Maker, BabyFirst, Tic Tac Toe, and Checkers!

I love Shutterfly! Since I ordered my Christmas cards with them, I have 10 free cards. So, I'm ordering Valentine cards for Macey's class, and just ordering 4 more. Can't beat that price!

I LOVE pennants. I'm not decorating our house much, since we want to move, but I love these for every season!

I made these for Tanner's room. L.O.V.E. it!

I love tissue poms. These are in Macey's room, and I have some school colored ones in my classroom.

I love this pig. I'm hoping Macey still loves her, so I can plan an Olivia party (at chuck e cheese?)

I want this little wallet for myself :)

Editing

During our rare Texas snow, I took some pics of our land. I can't wait to blow these up, maybe put them on canvas, or in frame-less frames around our new house!

Thoughts

I'm sitting here, with my daughter beside me, and I'm reflecting on my past, and pondering our future.

I came across a picture of my grandparent's house, and I can google and see my own house online that I grew up in, and can't help but wonder, will I create such a place for my kids? Will they have all of these memories in our own house that we want to build them? I spent many years running from the small town I grew up in, and can't help but think now, why did I want to rush getting out so fast? It's hard to be in a different town, unfamiliar faces, unfamiliar territory.

This life is going by so fast. I can't help but sit here, while Macey now sleeps up against me, and listen to Miranda Lambert's, The House that Built Me.

Show us your Singles-Kellys Korner

Show Us Your Singles! Kelly's Korner

This post is for my childhood friend. I'm praying that she doesn't mind me advertising for her! :)

Carmony is 31 yrs.old, and from a small town in Texas, where she cheered in high school, and went on to college and graduate from Texas A&M! She is currently in medical sales and has ALWAYS been successful at what she does. She's a hard worker, sophisticated, charming, and has a precious mom, and one older brother. She tragically lost her father after we graduated from high school.

A little about her personality!.... She is a loving person, and is ready to settle down and begin a life with someone. She hates the "going out" scene, and who can blame her! She's extremely witty, and funny. At first, she may seem reserved, and needs someone who can open her up, and "hang" with her sense of humor. She's a good combination of sophistication, yet doesn't forget where she came from :)

What she's looking for in someone else (in no particular order!).... Educated, trustworthy, ambitious, athletic, loving, christian, nurturing, and can maybe two-step to some good ole' country songs!

If you think you know of someone who fits the description above, and will be appreciative of someone like her, please leave a comment or e-mail me at:

Deer heads

Since we've purchased land, I'm so consumed with ideas and thoughts about decor for the kids rooms. My little sis has a deer head with glitter antlers. I'm in love! I'm wanting more of a rustic theme. I'm thinking a cozy and warm cabin feel, with white, white, and more white. White beds, white trim, white chipped furniture with hints of blues, pinks, browns, and black.

Here are the deer heads I love! I wish I could afford these! Maybe I can find some in Canton with glitter!

One Man's Trash

I love my "alley girl." She's our neighbor who puts things out for the trash man, and I run over and get it! We clean it up with some bleach, and lysol, and it's like brand new! I look forward every week to see what "alley girl" has sitting out! Here are some items that we've gotten so far! If you're in the area, and would like me to get you some things, I can post what's out there the night before! :)
